Job Title: Sino-Global (SG) Program Academic DirectorReports To: Senior Vice PrincipalJob Overview:The Sino-Global (SG) Program Academic Director will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and development of the Advanced Placement (AP) courses at WLSA Shanghai Academy. This role combines academic leadership with strategic planning, ensuring the AP program aligns with the school’s mission and goals while meeting academic standards. The Program Academic Director will also collaborate with various departments to support admissions, student achievement, and community engagement. The Sino Global Program Director will sit on the school’s Academic Management Team.Primary Responsibilities:? Advanced Placement Program Oversight:o Supervise scheduling, resourcing, and academic delivery.? Curriculum Development and Implementation:o Lead the development, review, and enhancement of the AP curriculum? Faculty Leadership and Developmento Oversee recruitment, onboarding, professional development and ****uation.? Student Achievement and Supporto Use data to support student performance and needs? AP Policy and Complianceo Ensure compliance with national and international AP policies and standards? Assessment and ****uationo Oversee administration of AP exams and standardized tests? Strategic Planning and Administrationo Support AP program development within the school’s strategic priorities? Admission Supporto Support admissions effort to admit strong SG students? Student and Community Engagemento Foster strong relationships with students, parents and the communityQualifications and Skills:? Master’s degree or higher in Education or a related field.? Extensive experience in teaching and/or AP programs in a secondary school setting for at least 5 years.? Strong understanding of College Board AP standards and assessment practices.? Proven leadership and organizational skills.? Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.? Ability to work in a dynamic, international school environment.
