Job Title: Hardware DEV Engineer (Mechanical Engineer):

Join Microsoft Devices Group Manufacturing Test Engineering team and make your mark on Microsoft’s most advanced products. Our group designs and builds test systems for a wide range of highly innovative products such as Xbox, Kinect, Surface, Band and HoloLens. We are looking for a creative Mechanical Systems Engineer who can bring fresh ideas to developing test systems for complex, high volume consumer products.

As a successful candidate, you will be a contributor to manufacturing test system designs in fast-paced development cycles. A strong mix of technical ability, innovation, and vision allows you to address electrical and system problems and solve them effectively and timely. You are highly motivated and enjoy contributing to cross-disciplinary teams to successfully accomplish your team’s goals.

Job Responsibilities:
?Develop system solutions as part of a test solution for manufacturing of such products as Xbox, Kinect, Surface, Band, HoloLens, etc.
?Define test and measurement methods and system design.
?Design, integrate, debug, document, qualify, and support those solutions through an entire product development lifecycle
?Analyze lab, build and factory data to see test method functionality and reliability.
?Specify, manage and verify designs from outside suppliers.
?Partner with internal and external teams to develop test systems. Leverage existing solutions as appropriate.
?Reside in the factory and support test equipment.


Qualifications include:
?Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
?At least 8 years of HW engineering experience.
?Excellent communication, teamwork, documentation and organizational skills
?Great attitude and self-motivation
?Systematic and conceptual thinking.
?Work / Internship experience
?Proficiency with Mechanical design tool, like Solid Work or etc.
?Comfortable in a lab environment using equipment to characterize and analyze issues.
?Proficiency with board and system level design, analysis, verification, and documentation
?Proficiency with Statistical analysis methods and tools preferred
?Experience delivering solutions for high-volume production is preferred
?Ability to troubleshoot to root cause and solve complex problems.
?SPC and six sigma methodologies.
